Chickpeas in Gravy



Ingredients :
Chickpeas - 2 cans
For masala
Tomato Puree canned - 2 tablspoons
Onions - 2 large
Green chillies - 1 to 2
Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
Ginger paste - 2 teaspoons
Garlic paste - 2 teaspoons
Garam masala - 2 table spoons
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Chole masala - 1 tablespoon
salt to taste

Method :
  • Blend all ingredients to make a paste or masala in a food processor using 3-4 tablespoons of water
  • Heat oil in a pan,  and the masala to it. Cook the masala till it turns dark brown and simmer it until it gets rid off it's raw taste.
  • Now add the canned chick peas, and mix it well with the above mixture
  • Add 1/2 cup of water to the pan. Cover and cook for 10 minutes
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot with fried rice, phulka (chapati), puri or bhatura.

    No words for this one. Simple and effective! I mean, Channa curry is supposedly the simplest curry as far as bachelor life is concerned and this is possibly the simplest description for making it. Keep going,Sree chechi. If this is the case, apart me, u can find atleast another 5 of us followin ur blog :)
